Tuner Pro Rt.........no data

Re: Tuner Pro Rt.........no data

I suspect you have 2 issues going on. 1 an improper bin load, followed by a cable issue/port setting.

Unplug your ALDL cable (which brand?) get to device manager on your computer and look at ports, then plug the aldl cable in and see what port it becomes. set tunerpro to that port.

...the ALDL cable is one I purchase from OBD Diagnostics, Inc. (Redondo Beach, CA). Initially when I plugged this cable in; it like com 10. After a day of playing around with tunerpro I finally read that I might need to change the port. I did! I changed it to com (2). Changed the com port preferences in tunerpro to (2) and WALLA!...........data. However it only works when I have the entire memcal (chip) in place. I cannot data log at all when I have the ostrich hooked up and will only recongnize the ostrich connection. The ostrich com port is (3). So currently when I plug the aldl cable in shows up in the device manager on com port (2). I am currently datalogging; but again it is with the stock chip in.

If you have a bad upload or bad cable into ostrich then it won't datalog. The bin includes the program/information for datalog. So a bad upload/info won't talk to you.

Re: Tuner Pro Rt.........no data

do you have the stock chip seated onto the g3 adapter board while the ostrich is plugged in

again , with no wb02 , emulating is the last thing you need to be doing right now . with the keys in the on position (vehicle not running) you will be able to see tps , battery , coolant temp , etc and that will let you know if your connected . please walk before you attempt to run . alot of bad can happen running your truck without everything in order .especially pulling chips out and such with the vehicle running .

imo you are at least a month of learning away before you even think of emulating . if you cannot datalog for x amount of time and post up a log file for us to look at , do not pass go , do not collect $200 .

ps . the ostrich batteries have been known to die before even being sold . good luck and remember , this syty stuff is for fun , once it gets frustrating , just take a couple days off .youll get the hang of it soon enough .

Ok instead of giving up, PM your phone number and a good time and day to call. I am on Pacific Coast time.

Re: Tuner Pro Rt.........no data

....okay I'm back at again. Still trying to determine why it is I can't datalog unless certain conditions prevail. I have been able to determine that I cannot datalog using tunerpro rt unless the stock chip is in place or if I use zif socket it has to contain a chip with data on it. It will not log data with the ribbon cable and plug in chip from the ostrich. Can anybody help once again?

Re: Tuner Pro Rt.........no data

i was having problems getting the DA connected at the bottom of TPRT screen. it was light red and said DA connecting..... and didn't go to blue (connected) but i figured it out. it was on plugin and not autoprom if memory serves me correctly (sorry, been looking at sooo much code59/TPRT/syty.net threads my head is spinning) now when i click on the tool bar to "acquire data" the bottom goes blue and says "DA connected".but after looking at some threads, if the key is on the on position (but not running) i should be able to press the pedal and get some tps reading on the dash..right? cause im not. and its too late to be running the truck.
