after a few months of just enjoying theh truck i finally got it down the track last night, peer pressure is a bitch

all passes were at a race weight of 4200lbs
10.5 lbs of boost
and cooper zeon radials 225/16's

1st pass leaving off idle

60' 1.99
no 1/8th times recorded
1/4 10.81@134.83

2nd pass leaving at 1lb of boost

as soon as it came into boost it did a 4 wheel burnout-run aborted

3rd pass leaving at 10in vacuum

60' 1.755
1/8 6.866@107 mph
1/4 10.518@134.97

final pass

60' 1.751
1/8 no times recorded
1/4 10.53@135.13

all in all i am very pleased with the results for the first time out on soem bs tires,i believe that with some m/t dr's it would be bottom 10's high 9's at base boost of 10.5psi.i would have made more passes but was basically escorted of the grounds due to lack of saftey equipment.
took tons of video but my co-worker who does the editing wont be in till next tuesday

Good job, nice to see it out and the info posted.

Wondering how your truck is 200lbs heavier than mine though. I would think my old SBC cast iron everything would have been heavier, nothing in my truck gutted. Scaled at 4k lbs with me in it.

Without me in it.

Cast steel heads, only thing missing from the AC is the condensor, dryer and lines.

No wheel wells in, but that surely isn't 200lbs.

I do have coilover front suspension, might be the difference.

But the inside of my truck is coated in line-x for sound (previous owner).

Very impressive for a truck that you are driving around with the A/C cranked, family aboard, and getting 17 MPG..

I am seeing 1.62 60 ft on sumitomo street tires, leave at 3400 rpm 4psi. It has taken some suspension tuning but I also know a 1.55 is there on street tires.

that is quit possible,i just didnt have the time or allowed the runs to do so.....also depending on how hard your turbos come on line compared to mine, could make all the differance in the world, how fast has your truck gone?and at what mph and boost level?do you run a locker up front?just looking for comparison, your the closest combo too mine

No locker up front, those going fast that have end up taking them out. Ed Hess, Robert, etc.

Twin gt35's, not the R's though. Only ran 6psi max of boost, had some engine issues so the wastegates have never done anything but base on the 4psi springs I have.

Went a 7.15 in 1/8th one of the first times at track, got the 60's done after but the et's were gradually slowing down, most likely due to the bearing issues I have had.

I want to run 10-12 psi, maybe a bit more if e85 will let me when I switch to that. Your obviously making a lot more power. I think your trick will be to get a boost controller setup that will let you launch somewhat soft and ramp it in once your moving.

Bring it to nats, we can compare notes.

The other big change I made was my instant center. With the triangulated 4 link I set it up and was off a bit when the truck was on the frame. Move the lower bar front pivot point up and really helped. I also clean off the tires in the burnout box.

Bowling green has been the track with the most traction of any I have been on, so look forward to that at nats.
