well trapper, i finished the truck and still running like crap!!! changed the upper intake gasket and changed vaccum lines and still running bad, check with datamaster, and still map low!!!! what up with that, changed the plugs,wires,cap,rotor, what do you guys think maybe ecm problem, or fuel injector problem or fuel pump, but fuel pressure of, but the truck has 89,000 miles? :rant:

My air to water intercooler is lose I need to mess with it and I just set the timming I would think an air leak would make it run lean, My mcal was bad I bought one from someone else and now it seems to run better but now I have that leak at the cooler. :rant: DI you say you have a datamaster Marty?

What do you mean by running like crap?? rough idle, stumbling, blowing black smoke, missing?? Also, what do you mean by low MAP.... low boost?

changed the map sensor three times, there rookie, but what up with the voltage of .69 or lower when it suppose to be over 1.00, still sounds like vacuum. running like, rough idle and missing, even when you driving down the road. don't think its the lower intake, well tomorrow im gonna running straight vacuum to the map sensor.and see what it does!

have you tried the carb cleaner trick? Spray it around to find leaks? If you spray it in an area and rpms rise you have found your leak.

well thats the reason for taking the upper intake off, and the cooler off and checking all the vacuum lines for leaks, but now im leak free, but still missing like crap, can't let it idle cause it will turn off, have to brake and give it a little gas so it will stay on, when i put the computer no codes at all, and sometime will say map low,

will a sparkplug gap, cause this missfire a friend of mine told to gap the plugs at 30 something instead of the proper gap,

Im thinking it might be more fuel related tah spark 30 dosent seem to me to make much of a dif, have you checed the ohms of your injectors?

Mine ran like this when I burned the conductor on a sparkplug wire in half on the #4 cylinder.... take a multimeter and check each plug wire for continuity/resistance
