Truck got broken into last night.

Hey guys. Went out to my truck today and it was broken into. Smashed the drivers door window. All they took was my old Pioneer CD Deck. Didnt take my books or gauges or anything else. But the broke the bezel that goes around the stereo region. They sat on the glass so my seat is kinda scratched now too. ****ing scumbags, i am so pissed. I have glass and theft insurance, so its not gonna hurt the wallet that bad, but just the principal of the thing.

You got that right. My brother in law just lost 2 laptops and an expensive guitar. Own fault though, left the stuff in the back seat.

I wish I had a photo of the tool safe I finally built to keep the scumbags out. Sufice to say they'd have to bring in their own cutting torch to get into this thing. Although I sold the place the safe has been there over 20 years and as far as I know no ones broke into it yet.

It was at school. University at Albany. I was parked pretty far out there, i was planning on moving in closer to the building, but didnt get around to it.

I went to the GMC dealer's bodyshop down the road to find some of the stick on window covering with no luck, but did get asked if it was supercharged by parts guy. Also got asked if it was a real Syclone, or a fake. Told him it was fake Syclone but a real Typhoon.

Me too. But i seriously doubt anything will come of it. The police officer said there were a couple other cars broken into that night so maybe something will happen. They also told me that they saw truck broken into last night around 1230, and tried to contact me.

I find it wierd that they didnt take anything else.

Seems like it's always Typhoons that get broken into or stolen...why not more Syclones? Just wondering, not that I want my truck to get assaulted by some bottom-feeders.

I used to drive a water truck for a guy and he got sick of getting cd players ripped off from him so he soldered fish hooks to the back of the cd decks not big ones but the small ones like trout hooks. The water truck i drove was broken into a couple of times but all that happened was the crooks just bleed all over the floor. I wish i could have been there to see the look on there face when they reach around to push it out and get a handful of barbed fish hooks. lesson learned and leason taught.

I used to drive a water truck for a guy and he got sick of getting cd players ripped off from him so he soldered fish hooks to the back of the cd decks not big ones but the small ones like trout hooks. The water truck i drove was broken into a couple of times but all that happened was the crooks just bleed all over the floor. I wish i could have been there to see the look on there face when they reach around to push it out and get a handful of barbed fish hooks. lesson learned and leason taught.

That blows, but at least they didn't get the truck itself. Hopefully they catch the scumbag(s) that did this, and your insurance company doesn't jerk you around. Good luck


As far as the more Ty's getting vandalized than Sy's, I've found that more Sy's are collectors cars, sitting in garages, whereas Ty's seem to be more the daily driver type sitting in driveways/parking lots.

Well i have a little update.

I was at work and the Police called me. A guy was pulled over today and they found 4 radios in his car. So i gave them the model number and serial number of my cd player. (The serial number i gave them was from the receipt, i dont know if it is the actual serial of the cd player.) So he said the are working on something now, and they we may get lucky. I will keep you updated.



Anyone know the format of a serial number for a pioneer cd player? I gave them ADTM009943.

I like the "Viper" alarm system. I dont have one but want one. It actually tells you what windows break, doors open or what side of the truck is being jacked up if someone is trying to steal your wheels. And it does all the other little things that alrms systems do. Expensive: about $500 but if I had the cash I'd buy it!

Know how you feel, last night was the second night in a row my work trucks got broken into.


Ive decided to camp out in my office for a few nights, im glad Smith and Wesson made all men equal.
