Re: Transporting the Sy - Suggestions??

Loaded the Uhaul this morning... just got done loading the Sy....

A couple of pics....

Doesn't she look like she just wants to go fast?! :D

Looking at the relationships of the distance/angles between the rear truck tires and the front of the Sy, it looks like it would have a hard time throwing a rock up into it (unless it threw it against the side).

Wish me luck! Start off tomorrow morning at 4:30AM! Yuck!! Trying to beat the afternoon thunderstorms that are forecast for Kansas. Should pull into Sheridan around 4pm Friday.

It's a good thing you did rent the U-Haul because those 4.2's suck penis for towing. My buddy has an 04 EXT and he towed my 92 4 door 125 miles back from Albany, NY and it had so much trouble it was unbelieveable. My friends 90 S10 Blazer 4.3 w/ 3.08s had less trouble towing a 94 4 door on a 2,000lb trailer than the new 4.2 had with just the 2 wheel dolly and a lighter Blazer. Those 4.2s are apparently shit for towing or maybe it's just his? He only has like 40k miles on it though so idk..

Oh well, enough babbling, just verifying that the U-Haul is a much better option for you. Good luck with your move! :)

Well, already delayed 1.5 hours this morning. Sitting here watching (radar) a big line of thunderstorms roll through Wichita, Salina, Ponca City.... my exact route :(
The Sy has never been wet... guess I shoulda' sprung for an enclosed hauler!

...Thanks Dave.. I'm going to wait to call you till I'm about 40 miles north of Denver, needing a tow..... ;) ... that's one way to get you to come see us up North :D

Yup, I know what you mean KFC... our Bravada (4.2) is a dog towing... I have a 10ft Wells Cargo trailer for hauling my airplanes in, and that damn Bravada acts like it's towing a 40ft boat! .....but, if you wind it out, it is relatively fast... but who does that towing??
