Transmission Fluid Flow Direction...

What direction does the fluid flow?

Trans -> Factory Rad Cooler (top port) -> Factory Rad Cooler (bottom port)-> transmission
is this correct?

Im installing a new trans cooler and want to know which side I should install it on...

Do I put the cooler from the trans to the upper radiator port?
or
Do I put the trans cooler on the lower radiator port?

Didn't I read in the archives that using hose clamps on AT fittings is a big no-no??

I hope not, been using them on my truck for seven years now? One of the biggest issues revolves around connecting the rubber lines to the hard lines. Some folks have had these lines blow off under pressure. ATF spewing inside a hot engine bay can get very ugly QUICK . Anytime I connect rubber line to hard lines, I slightly flare the hard line. Never had a problem with anything blowing off. Eventually I plan to go with stainless steel braided line and AN fittings to clean things up.

Thanks Mike.... if you've been doing it that way for 7 years it must be OK... of course AN is the way to go, but only if you've got the pocketbook

And since I didn't want to worry about ATF all over my engine and causing I fire.. I just replaced all the likes with AN braided.
