Transfer Case Question

There is a small 2"x2" "V" shaped white plastic connector that plugs into the lower rear of the transfer case and it has a 1/4" I.D. (I believe) hose running to it. Can anyone tell me what this is and what it is for? Mine is broken.

Sounds like the vent tube to me also, but the vent comes out the top rear of t case.

When I say "bottom" I meant you can see it from the bottom side of it. I guess I should have clarified that better. Hopefully it being broken will not affect anything.

It will leak some....you should try to replace it. Im sure someone on here has one.
