Transfer case change 27 to 32 spine

I have a sy with a bad transfer case (Borg Warner 4472 with a 27 spine) I have acquired a BW 4472 with a 32 spine I’m sure this was used in 97 Bravada .The rear output shaft is 1 3/8” longer. What is the best answer, shorter driveshaft with a 32 spine yoke, can the yoke only be changed and if so that needs to be 1 3/8” shorter, or change out put shaft to 27. I would prefer to keep the 32 spine
If there is someone that has dealt with this problem I would appreciate any help thanks.

Best is to just change the yoke on driveline and shorten driveline also.

The syclone's had the 27 spline, typhoon had the 32's.

We just had to deal with this on a local guys syclone when his transfer case exploded.

Also do you know if the 32 yoke change alone will reduce total length by 1 3/8” (I hope) or do I need to change both if so would it be a custom made prop shaft or can I mix and match like the bravado transfer case

The yoke won't change the length as the distance between the u joints remains the same.

You CAN sneak the driveshaft in without shortening, but I strongly suggest you don't. We did it in a pinch, but it is so tight with suspension travel the driveshaft could bind up, causing more transfer case failures, rear end, etc.

I just swaped out my transfer case from my syclone since the output shaft broke.I was able to buy one from board member which he had a 92 bravada tranfer case.The output shaft housing on the bravada tc was 1 1/4 to long so to be on the safe side I went ahead and shortened the drive line which was only $45.00 to do.And while the drive line was out I went ahead and put some heavy duty u-joints. If I was you I would shorten the drive line also that way you don't put the driveline and transfer case in a bind
