Trans checkup

I've got the trans out to replace the gov and thrust washers in the transfer case. Are there any preventive maintenance checks I should do while I've got it on the bench? Keep in mind that my experience with the trans is limited to filter replacement. I've never been inside the body.

if it's out then you should go ahead and rebuild it now bc sooner or later it will need it.

Go ahead and rebuild the engine, too. It'll be easy to get it out since the trans isn't connected. It's going to need it sometime :roll:
