Tranny trouble

Did a search and really couldn't find my exact problem.
I started the truck up to go home and it wouldn't shift correctly. It takes about 3500 to 3700 rpm to get it to shift and that's just easing into the throttle and when it does shift IT SHIFTS HARD. I thought maybe it was just the cold, was down around 15-20 deg that night, but even after it warmed up it was still doing it. The other symptom is when in OD it doesn't have any engine braking but in D it's ok. The truck drove just fine to work then just out of nowhere this problem started. I feel like there is something stuck in the valve body. The tranny fluid looks good and doesn't smell burnt. I'm ok with engines but the tranny is a beast I haven't tried to mess with, yet.
Any ideas? TIA

Is it in all gears or just specific? TV correctly adjusted? They can and will fall out of adjustment.

As far as the shift points, yes it's all 4 gears. There's not any slipping or odd noises. The TV cable is still right where it was. Just literally overnight this happened. I feel that something in the TV assembly is stuck or something. I haven't yet had any time to work on it and check things out closer. Just got it home, parked it, got out, yelled Sh*t, went in the house and drank beer. :drinking:

I agree with John. Also what you might want to check to see if your TV system is responding is start the truck, in park manually pull the tv cable itself. Not the whole tb rotating assembly just the cable going to the tv valve. See if there is a change in rpm. Probably not much of a change but should be some.
