I have a B&M Tranny cooler and I just bought a TCI aluminum tranny pan and a 11/16 temp gauge.

Where do I install the sender for the electrical gauge ?

any pictures or help you can give me on this would be great as I am in a wheelchair and I need to make sure i have what I need, for my mechanic to install my stuff correctly.

Thanks again

Several ways to do it, but if you're gonna tap into the pan, you'll want to do it one of 2 ways:

1) - Weld the adapter that comes with the sender into the pan and thread the sender into that.

2) - Buy the B&M Drain Plug Kit (pn 80250), drill a hole, tighten the adapter and thread the sender into that.

I have pics of both methods. Will post them when I get home.

Best way Ive found is just above the gear selector, there is a plug there, take it out and put in the sending unit. I got the Autometer one and it fit perfectly.

Is this the same temp. as the out flow line to the cooler? It may be "stagnant" from dead head flow or no flow I should say. Any one checked the difference in temps beteween the two locations or at least if there is a "lag" in the response of the guage reading / change in temps due to no flow at that port?

Just thought I'd ask?

I figured there couldnt be a big enough difference to make it worthless. My temps were at 180-210 normally with my old trans and they are now between 150-180 with the new one. I think its seems normal even though I dont have much to base it on. Definately the easier route and there couldnt be more than a 10* difference which is accurate enough for me.

Actually I dont but you could look it up on JEGS website and find it htere. Or, you could go to your local speed shop and order it for sure. It really is easy to do it htere. It took me a woppin 5 minutes to hook it up. FWIW, the sender came with the gauge.

What gauge did you buy? I bought the Autometer Sport Comp II, it came with the sender. I didnt have to do anything to it except screw it in and put the wire on it. I looked on Jegs and they have it but if you have already bought the gauge it shouldve come with a sender.
