exactly! I'm not goin to cut and paste from other web sites, steal other ppl's work, call it my own and shout to the entire planet that I am the master of the 700 when I've only built 2 trannies in my whole life and one of those blew up several times. now if the ppl writing that site had any clue as to what they were doing (or they were professionals) it would be different.
Well, Im lost as to whats so incorrect???…
Dunno myself but I never really noticed anything on that site that was for sale or required purchasing, just info. I didn’t notice the site saying it was the end all for 700 info either or that info from others sites was claimed as their own. Then again I didn’t look for that, I looked for information that’s not readily available since Ive spent a HUGE amount of time looking on the net for anything on the 700 that was worth while.
What Im saying professor wallyworld is that there is a LOT of info on that site that IS helpful to ppl like myself who are die hard DIYers and I don’t see anyone else stepping up to the plate to put that amount the info out there on one site. If it was available I’d have found it ~4 months ago. If someone else has some info to offer that is better/more informative/more correct then Im all ears. Better yet fly yourself up here to Roanoke (yes, we have an airport) and you can show me how its done. Oh, better yet, how bout if I drag myclones trans down there, flop on your couch, drink beer, tell a few stories, and you can show me how its done on your home turf? I make for an interesting house guest especially if you have cats.
Lastly, dunno about you but Ive built enough stuff to know that Im NOT an expert but I still do ok (so far) as far as how much stuff Ive built that stayed together vs the stuff that scattered. On the other hand show me ONE person whos put together multiple engines, transmissions, whatever, and NEVER had one (or more) failure of some type and I’ll show you a liar. IMO having a failure of some type, be it defective parts or noob workmanship, doesn’t make them “clueless” unless they didn’t learn anything from it.
