well than i might have a problem cuz it pissing out from the top of the tranny on the right side and i think its coming from the tv cable housing. is there any other spot up over ther were it could seep from? its not the lines and its not the pan gasket.

If it's a new transmission you have to turn it over a few time to fill it up. It will only take 6 or 7 quart before its seems filled on teh dipsticl.

Trans is not new, its so hard to see up there. The dip stick holder was not removed. when the truck is off it pours out. i thought maybe i had a brain fart and overfilled it..... but i dont no anymore if its not one thing its another on the stick when warm its just shy of the first hole in the hot spot of the dip stick

Do you have a dipstick to check the fluid level? It suposed to be check with the engine running in park.

Are the gaskets there on the Tv cable and dipstick tube and are they good? Not to hard to change if you need to. Is the new pan flush with the bottom of the trans, maybe pan gasket area is your problem?

Yea the pan is flush, the tranny is in the truck without pullin the downpipe off its tight up there. I was thinking the tv cable housing gasket.

Might be that the transmission to transfercase bolts are loose. It can leak like a sieve from that seal.

thats exactly what it was on mine , put my new pan up three times befor i figured out it wasnt the new pan leaking it was the t/v cable. get a mechanics mirror on a stick and look up there , youll be able to seal the seal.
