Tranny doesnt do anything in any gear

I finally got the strength to get my ass out and work on my sy again in the fl heat . I needed to get onto my trailer to go to the painters and my trans wont go into gear . I checked the shifter cable and it moves the lever on the tranny , but shit happens . Dipstick shows fluid at the full mark with the engine running . If I put the trans in park , I cant roll the truck , and when in gear it rolls fine . Something told me to check my lines and when I unhooked the trans out-line to my cooler , nothing comes out of it .

Is it something simple like tc not seated properly ? Nothing is loose and the flywheel bolted up easily so what should I do , aside from setting it all on fire !!

sounds like the tc is not seated properly.

if you didnt seat the conv properly and the eng and trans are bolted togeher you crushed the pump rotor inside the pump and a new one is needed. you must be careful as the spec on the pump are very very critical. I keep mine to 1/2 a thou

If that translates to " tranny rebuild " , my wife isnt going to like it one bit .May be sitting for a while .

the pump comes out pretty easily after the trans is out ,unfortunately

no you wont need a tranny rebuild but you will need the have the pump fixed. and I dont mean buy a reman pump. Every single one I've seen even the super high $ ones are not toleranced right. you need to have them done by a machinist to get them right.

To be honest if I have to take out the 700 for any reason , it isnt going back in . I refuse to spend money on my 700 only to have it blow up with my combo .Someone make me an offer on my tranny that was rebuilt not even 250 miles ago , with a new b&m 2800 stall convertor . Worked like a dream before I pulled the trans and motor to por 15 my frame . Get a new pump and you have a great tranny for any stockish truck with light mods . Seriously , take this off my hands . I have to get up money quick for a 4l80e so I can drive my truck .
Pm me , email me , even mail me a letter with an offer if you want . I want this thing gone . I knew it wasnt going to hold up to my 11 sec truck , but I thought I would at least get to drive it alittle bit .

I'll give you 200 for the trans. that is what I pay for good used cores. but if I were you I'd spend the $ to replace the pump and use the trans till you save up for the 80E.

I could do a pump for you for ~$225 shipped and I can talk you thru the install on the phone(it isnt bad at all). I'll also throw in the oring and gasket for the pump install.

I have to get my truck to the painters , so it looks like I will fix the 700 so I can break it another day . Thanks John , I will run this by my wife and send you the money + the 3% paypal fees . Man she really hates my truck. I mean REALLY hates it . Oh well , whats new .
