Traction bars/slide a link

Has anyone used slapper bars or the Competition Engineering Slide-A-Link product? Do these actually help on Sy/ty's or does the AWD make the bars not necessary?

Is this something that maybe the higher horse power guy's would benefit from?

My truck is all stock and think I might have gotten some wheel hop maybe once.

I am making my x-mas list, and was just wondering some people's thought's on the subject.

Thanks,
Zac

most guys are running the caltrac bars.. pretty much do the same thing, but the caltracs have a bit more adjustability.

One thing i did see the other day, was slotted aluminum wedge pieces to adjust pinion angle on leaf spring cars. might help out??

How much preload do you Caltrac users have dialed in? I've got mine set at about a quarter turn. I noticed that the ride is quite a bit stiffer this way. I'm thinking of backing off on the adjustment to either zero preload, or maybe even a slight gap. What do you all think is best? Thanks.

been there !
now see what did i do:
at first the ride was too damn stiff.
i have 2 steel leafs and 1 small kevlar, those three all worked together and the caltacs made the ride stiffer with one turn preload. SO installed a one inch aluminium between the steel and the kevlar to let the steel leafs work alone and when the difficulties come ,they hit on the kevlar. This was the third option i tryied and with the rancho 9000 at the 3rd position
it rides almost perfect
