toss core support?

I am in the process of building a new motor. I am putting this one together with some goodies on it that are really going to change the way my engine looks period. Well, its going to be costing me right around 3k for the build an all nice stuff and I got to thinking that I really should make the rest of the engine bay match. So my thoughts are that I am going to be re-wiring a bunch of things and making some new brackets and kid of "finalize" my engine bay if you will. So as I was taking things apart this afternoon I realized what a hacked up mess my core support is and that I really don't like it. Now I know I need it but I thought about maybe building one out of tube steel or something like that. Kind of simplify the whole thing and make certain things more accessible you know? Can any one think of any reasons why this might be a bad idea?

I have one of chris's aluminum supports and if you make something similar , you'll have more than enough room for whatever you want . It stands out and people always want to come in for a closer look to see what else may be hiding under the hood .

I would buy one of Chris Kieth core supports. You making a lot of work for your self by switch the core support and even more by making your own.

I think I already passed that line. You should have heard me last night telling my wife all my plans and shes like, you think you can do all that in a few months? I just smiled. I can say this much, I am not in over my head here. Id bet money I will be done no later than April  Most guys start these kinds of projects and they last YEARS!! But for those who know me personally know that I wont have any of that nonsense.

For those of you who have fabbed or aftermarket core supports, any chance you guys can post pics, especially those who have pmed me asking if I want to buy one. Also what would these cost me? I figured I should be able to build one for around $100.

They were sold in a GP a while back. I think there were only about 10 or so sold. It was way before CKeith started to sell everything off.

Drive is one thing. $$ is another.

Dont you worry Diggler, I got it all under control, I hope) Business is doing really good. I have a 90% chance of getting a $70k contract that will start in October and if I get it, life will be beautiful. The 70k is for 7 months from April to October but it doesnt include all the snow removal which can almost double that 7 month figure. I have been waiting a long time for this and really hope it all goes through ok. I am pretty sure it will especially after what they told me last week.
