Torsion bar tension w/ drop spindles??

Just wondering if anyone has done this or if it is worth while? I had a thought on the throne the other day. If you put a 1 or 2 inch drop spindle on and then cranked up the torsion bar will it- 1: Stiffen up the front suspension? and 2: can it be aligned so there is no toe or camber issue? Just a thought, didn't know if it is worth the time. Thought if it did it would be alot cheaper than swapping to a coil-over. If there is any chance this would work I'm willing to try it since spindles a pretty cheap.

To the best of my knowledge I have never seen nor heard of anyone making a drop spindle for a 4wd S-series. Reason being is you can just loosen the torsion bars and it's lowered, for free.

No drop spindles have ever been produced for our stuff.

Sorry that was a pretty dumb question. Forget to think before I spoke again. I know you can loosen the tension but at the same time you are softening the ride. I would like to tighten it up so it doesn't roll so bad. Any idea? Just good shocks? I have mono-max's on the back and like them, any good for the front?

Yeah use stiffer shocks, get a rear sway bar, get a bigger front sway bar

The torsion bar adjusters don't change the spring rate of the torsion bar, so lowering with them doesn't soften the ride. It does require an alignment and you can reduce the available suspension travel to the point that it's easy to bottom out. This of course makes the ride uncomfortable while not improving handling. Monomax's up front were a significant improvement over generic shocks on my truck.
