ok so i am replacing injectors w/#50's changing to ultimate chip, adding afpr, and going to a walbro 255 l/pre hr pump
would it be a good idea to change the torque conv. its stall right now is around 2300 rpm? if so what would be recommended?

better stated: what would the stall on the 9/11 and would the aldl mod switch have any afect on it? What do they cost? And most of all what type of performance do they give versus horibble driveability? i dont want to have to wind it to 2400 mto go anywhere...

I still have stock turbo and torque converter but from what I understand, you don't want a higher stall converter until you have a larger turbo! I didn't see you mention that in your list of mods, maybe I missed it though.

Alot of it depends on your goals. If you do plan on going with a larger turbo in the future, then yes I would definately go with Brian's TC. I will say that I drove around for quite a while with a 3000 stall and stock turbo, while saving up the money for a PTE setup, and it really didn't affect me to much except that the spool up was awesome. Just hammer it and instant boost. Brian may be able to clarify this better but the numbers on the stall are not exact to what the stall speed is, it all depends on how much power your engine is putting out. So on one truck the same TC could stall at 2600 whereas on another truck stall at 3000. One of the guys in the group here just ordered one from Brian and he is the best when it comes to our trannies, also he is a good guy and will answer any questions you might have. His number is probably on numerous posts on this list, just look for anything with transmissions involved and his name and number will probably be there.

While you are getting Harthman 9/11 you might as well get his valve body mod , he highly recommend it. I thing it is about an extra $160.
By the way, whats the different between the valve body mod (pressure boost valve) Harthman sells and the others on the market that are for much cheaper?
http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4L60E.htm has them for $35.
tks

The 2 valves in my kit are custom made to tight tolerances and are bigger than all the rest. Those other ones are just a little bigger than stock and are readily available. I have those other valves just lying around. I don't use them at all. Too Small. Mine are more expensive because I don't have them made by the billions. I get one hundred at a time.

You have to compare apples to apples. Those valves aren't worth $10. I could sell them all day at that but it doesn't serve our purpose so I had some better ones made from scratch with good steel from the US, milled and ground in the US.

Those parts warehouses have a lot of iffy things that look like the real deal but they are just cheap imitations. Those warehouses are worried with price not over quality. If they can get something inferior from Taiwan for cheap, they'll do it.

The TV Boost valve gets a signal from the MTV pressure system telling it to increase pressure. The bigger the valve the more pressure and volume that is signaled to be output from the pump. This is key to having your high performance TC perform to it's fullest. Night and Day.
