Just so I am totally clear - all you need to do to the trans tunnel is cut abit out of the seam to give access to the bolt?

The cut that I think I can see is maybe 3" or so with a little benfing as well?

Doesn't seem too major no?

You got it. The small notch makes it so that you won't have to use that "special" socket again to get that studded bellhousing bolt in and out. That's why I cut it down because with the sheet metal seam there, you can't get a standard deep well socket on there.

Just take the truck to a tranny shop and have them put it in. It is only like 150 and will save you a huge pain in the ass!

That's not too bad but some of us don't like other people that we don't know, working on our trucks. I have had my truck for almost nine years and it has NEVER been to a garage/stealership to be worked on and plan to keep it that way. Hell, with the going rates on major repairs these days, I wouldn't be very happy with the bill...

Hey I understand where you are coming from. Trust me, I of all people do not need the working on your own truck lecture. I was just throwing the idea out there.
