I have to redo the frame and Marty is trying to convince me to cut the frame to put 335 tires on the rear. 335-30-18 on the rear.

Why not? Plenty of Buick guys notch their frame to fit bigger tires. I say go for it.

if you really intend on selling it, i wouldn't cut it. Otherwise, do whatever is needed.

What tire are you going with up front? A bit of stagger in tire width looks nice, but you'd have to go awfully wide up front to look right with the 355's...

and if you want to go that crazy, M&H makes a 375 drag radial ;)

those are 18"x 12" wheels. i THINK they were 335s, but if you looked close at the frame there were rub marks.

315 is the widest you can go and have the wheels look correct if you move the rim "out" you can do a 335 but it has the low rider look

They were 335's, and the frame did have some rub marks, but I was suprised that the marks were so little.

Must have moved the wheel out Ill give odds that the wheels hane out of the wheel well

Probably, but since there were no wheel wells, it's kinda hard to tell :D

Re: too cut or not to cut???

<I may be all wrong, but wasnt Hideakimura`s Typhoon running rears larger than 315s?>

I actually like the look of the pike`s peak sy, but dont know the tire/wheel combo on it.
Getting the correct "stance" - as in wheel opening clearance, front/rear balanced look,
sideway height, centered within wheelwell, and such on SyTys is tricky. SoGts have
a bit of an advantage without the cladding arch.

But I agree with Marty, its time someone did something different than the normal
routine sizes. I have an old pic <somewhere> of Deans/Howies truck, with the monster
15 x 10.5 wrinkle walls that kinda cool. But thats probably not the look your going for.
Just stay away for 13" rims please....

Cut it. No sense not to. With all the other things you have going for this truck - why not?
