To cut or not to cut?

Here's the story: I am now set on swapping the T5 into my GT (just bought a wc t5z). The question is, when I do the swap, should I cut the console support, or make a new one and sell the old? I am retaining the console

i'd sell it for the $ personally...and cut up some standard s10 console.

It's only the support itself that would need cutting. I'll be changing the cupholder plate but it will need minimal mods as well.

the support in the 5speed ty was completely removed when they put in the manual. just make yourself some brackets...they don't have to look good, you'll never see them. You could even etch "SONOMA GT" into the and it no one would have to look at your horrid artwork
