I'm thinking about 17" and 18" wheels. Base on your driving with these 2 sizes. What do you think ? What is your combination ? How is the ride and handling ? Would you do it again or is there too many draw backs ?

1. 17" x 8" front and 17" x 11" rear. Tires are 245/45 - 17" front and 315/35 - 17" rear.

2. 18" x 8" front and 18" x 12" rear. Tires are 225/45 - 18" front and 335 /30 - 18" rear.

I do like the looks of wide tires in the back, but I would also put as wide as possible in the front. I just put new rims and 275/40-17 's on my Ty all around. The rims have 45mm offset and the front tires do not rub anything at full lock either way. I don't know about Sy's but Ty's understeer and bigger rubber on the front helps the handling. The rear rims were installed with 1 1/4" spacers. My Ty is a daily driver, so now I can rotate the tires. So far, it's all good.

I have 275/40/17 and 285/35/18. I like the look but if your goin racin alot id just go 17s all the way around. If looks is mainly it Id go 18 and keep the same sidewall all the way around either setup

17x8 fronts are hard to find. thats what i am looking for and I cant find any.

18" tires are alot more expensive especially in those wide size you want. Expect to pay about $250 per tire

The most important thing is that the fronts and rears have the same total diameter. There is a calculator for it on TireRack.com. The transfer case will only be happy if the diameters are very close, if not exact. On my Ty I'm running 17 x 8.5 front and 18 x 9.5 rear. Front tires are 255/45 17, rears are 295/35 18.

On the Sy I run 17 x 9.5 front and 17 x 11 rear. 275/40 17 and 315/35 17.

This has been put on hold for now, due to work conditions like 19.25 hrs days. Once things slow down again I will post up the results. All that I have left to do is the road trip to get it done.

Re: Tire ??? for 17" and 18" user's

Morning! I am in the market for a new set of wheels and really like the Z06 wheels. I am not sure what the difference is between the C5 and C6, any one have any pictures or know where I could do a comparisoin? I thought about running the same size wheel all the way around, ditto with the tires? Any advice would be greatly appreciated? I have read that OE Wheels LLC was a great place to get a set?

I found the difference in C5 & C6, love the C5 look even if every SYTY has them. I did find a set that had a 54mm offset, will this be any problem with my stock Ty? Thanks for any advice.
