While troubleshooting my TC vibration I was told to try a flow test at idle.
I disconnected the return line(top one) and hooked up a long piece(20 inches long)of 5/16 tranny hoseline and stuck it in a one quart container. My dear wife turned on the engine and I watched the flow into the container. In 10 seconds it overflowed the 1 quart mark.
Transonline had a rule of thumb of 1 quart in 20seconds so I figure I was in pretty good shape.
Just thought I would pass this along for anyone with any issues they are troubleshooting with their trannies concerning flow rate. Thing will REALLY hook up and shifts well with no shudder on throttle valve detent downshift from 4th to 3rd on highway.
Other possibilities were a damaged o-ring on the end of the input shaft, damaged check ball and retainer assembly(in the end of the input shaft), damaged seals in the torque converter(there are two inside the torque converter).
Also want to add that if anyone is buying the 9/11, call TCS to see if they need your cores. They are really hurting for cores. Jesse pitched his in the garbage because he didn't know they needed it and my old one is collecting dust in the garage because I wasn't advised either.
Just thought I would put this out for people.
