Actually, I can confirm what MarlboroTyphoon is saying. The original G-Tech was notorious for over optimistic calculations... and the MPH was always 5 mph fast or so. I've even used one in my Syclone and other cars, and gone to the drag strip, and via first hand experience I can say it's true.
On the other hand, the Datamaster Quarter Mile Calculator has been very useful as a tuning tool, for me, as it's closer to my drag strip times and very consistent. If you improve the power of your truck and it "feels faster" and Datamaster QMC starts reporting numbers faster than you're used to seeing; it's almost certain that you'll get new best times the next time you go to the dragstrip. At least in my experience.
Judging from what Robert posted here; the new G Tech Pro performs as well.
