I had an 02 530I sport and it was great. Sure it had some issues but most cars do.

Haha, I assure that won't be true! I'm going to try to keep what we have for a couple years...we'll see ;) I'm not saying I won't add to it!!!

bmw + no warranty = $$$

been there, done that.

i got my 94 cheap because of suspension issues that caused major steering issues..

we bought the 97 because it was a good deal.. come to find it it wasn't that good of a deal since it needs $300-400 in suspension work.. and that is just to replace all of the bushings

Call me crazy but I don't think $300-$400 in suspension work is a lot of money....shit, my Sy ate that plus in sways bars alone! :rotf:

He is probably talking about just the cost of parts. I know of few people spent $1000+ just for Ball Joints in a S-Series.

Before we traded in the 528iT we went through a new radiator, then new battery, and finally it needed a full brake job. We took the money for the brake job and put it towards a new CX-7 with a warranty. BMW's are great as long as you have that warranty. After that it gets really expensive even for regular maintenance items. I really liked that car, but I doubt I'd get one as a daily driver if it didn't have a warranty.
