i,m new to typhoons and i have a lot of questions about my ty that i would like to ask about. # 1 is would a throttle body from a lt1 fit holley to be exact ,# 2 has any one fabbed up there own front mt. # 3 on a sy/ty does the pump for intercooler supposed to turn on when ign comes on if yes mine does not.so can i put a switch to relay ? # 4o.k. last week i put up a post and some one replied back to me about not having a cat on the ty that it would get boost spike or creep if the waste gate was not modiffied .what would i have to do or buy to modify and what is factory boost level. because when i drive my truck and i get on it on the high way i can hear detonation, pingin could that be from over boost! ok now one of my friends also has a ty and i looked at his truck and i noticed that his waste gate solenoid is hooked up different so i hooked mine up the same as his truck and my truck took off faster than before but at top end i got detonation so i put it back the way it was . yester day i put a walbro 340 pump and i removed the 5/16restriction and pulsator and i also installed a hot wire kit and tomorrow accufab reg goes on . my goal is to be able to get on this thing and go .....# 5 my ty has the ride level and the rear shocks are leaking and the rear feels like crap do i replace w factory or up grade, what shocks are better and what kind of sway bar . thanks for any info .

Re: throttle body/fm intercooler

First, I dont think the LT1 TB will fit without modification. Second by fabbed up do you mean actually welded up tanks to an intercooler core and fitted it to their Ty? Or do you mean has anyone done a DIY FMIC? The search button can help you out a lot for 99% of your questions. If your IC pump is coming on at key on someone has hotwired your IC pump. Keep it that way or go A2A. Most of all...Search

Re: throttle body/fm intercooler

The TB will bolt up but the linkage connections are SyTy specific.

There are a few FMIC that have been used successfully.
Ford powerstroke and Audi are 2 oem that come to mind.

Servando and Jer have both posted detailed pics of their FMIC setups done for cheap.
Search should turn up some decent content on this subject.
