Check wire continuity by pulling. This will solve a lot of "intermittent issues. If the wire seems to give or stretch it's broken internally where you cant see. these are the hardest to diagnose but easiest once you find to fix. And check both ends but usually at engine end so check there first.

So I've been experiencing what appears to be the same issue related to the "purple wire" increasing resistance over time. I just replaced the battery with an Optima Yellow Top and it's much better. However if the resistance continues to rise then there will be a point in the future this will come back again. I've seen that DaveP has a solution using a cube relay but for some reason not finding the instructions in this post or elsewhere when I do a search. Can someone point me in the right direction so I can fix this before it becomes an issue again?
