Re: think i spun all 4!?

Sounds like you need a viscious clutch in the T-case. If you don't see three tire marks, (the RF won't spin), you only spun the rears. And you can only spin rear-only if the V-clutch is shot. "Torque Steer" is another 'clue'. These things go fairly straight, with little fanfare, if everything is right.

If it will chirp the tires into second, and gets squirrelly, that's yet another symptom.

just had trans. rebuilt because of previous owners negl, er, stupidity. tc looked to be ok. fluid was pink not burnt or dirty. may still be stock. motor has numerous upgrades. maybe the tc could use an upgrade as well?
vicious clutch, you say? don't know what it is but i'll do a search. thanks for the info.

all wheel drive-4 wheel drive. thought they were kinda the same?
if i put the truck in the air and turn it on and put it in gear, if all is well (with the tc) will all four spin?
and if all is not well will only the rears spin? :dunno:

the difference between a 4x4 and AWD is the clutch that allows you to make sharp turns without your wheels eating up the difference in speed between left and right.

i aksed my question cause i'm under the impression that if the clutch goes out. you will have 4wd instead of awd unless you clutch is tottaly ****ed up, normally they get locked (when broken).
if your truck was in 2wd you well have a hard time getting that ****er on the road shifitng WOT
