Re: The Rejuvination of Sy# 2995

To Mike and Jay thanks for the congrats it has been a long time coming and although it is now running it is still on jackstands due to some other little things that need to get done. To alwayscode390, when I bought the truck I was third owner. So by the time I got my paws on it, it had already been well on its way on mods. At the time of purchase the truck had an awesome leather wrapped dash and the Typhoon steering wheel and the tonneau cover was missing and I had a really bad broken piece of cladding. The truck had also had what looked like a nice repaint until it began to lose the paint sheets at a time. Luckily the truck will always be mine so resell value who cares!

Well she is finally on the ground and driving around. Please take it easy on my temporary snorkel setup comments. Only concern right now is a grind noise when I turn left. Have a feeling it's may be my front brakes or maybe the right front hub assembly. You only notice it when you put load on the right side of the truck. Any suggestions would be great, Thanks and enjoy the videos. I will post som pics later.

There she is guys off of jackstands! I'm still trying to figure something out with snorkel filter. The lst pick is of my truck and fellow member A-Bombs truck. One last thing In my last post I mentioned. Grinding noise that only happens when I turn left. I have a feeling it may be a cv axle. What is your thoughts? Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

Re: The On Going Saga of Sy# 2995

Well she hasn't been on jack stands and she just recently turned over 100,000 miles but i just recently did a mod that I should of done years ago! I must give credit where credit is due so here it goes. This mod, the Forged Motorsports Wastegate, was first discovered by Erik 0966sy several years ago. With the help of the US rep he was able to help many of you guys do the mod and you guys raved about it but I never really had the money for it so I waited. Well I bought the the Forged Motorsports wastegate thanks to Sportmachines picking up where Erik left off and OMG did it wake my truck up! She feels like she did when I first got her. With the wastegate, the turbotweak chip and other mods tuned into the chip I feel like I can go and out run the 405 in Oklahoma!

Really though the reason for this update was to say just how wonderful the new Forged Motorsports Wastegate is and how great my Turbotweak chip is working out for me. I still have some fine tuning to do but for now I am loving this new found giddy up. :D

Here is a link to the wastegate sold by sportmachines already modified for our truck.
