Thats what I was getting at. It was a pretty cool vid, but they almost got found out.

Yeah same one. That was all the chicago guys who did the scandalous racing promotion, those are the guys who taught me the ins and outs of street racing. We all came from the same neighborhood.

I couldnt get off work to go down to Florida when the vette race happened but that didn't stop them from borrowing my nitrous parts lol.

If it's the Talon that's been posted in the pics on this thread the guy is full of shit. Doesn't matter if he had a monster compressor wheel stuffed in that TDO5 housing, his IC piping is still stock. But he did have his passenger side fog light out for more airflow to the stock IC -ooooooooooooooo look out!

A stock talon and a stock typhoon would be a good race, with the Ty getting a slight edge (talons usually come with a synchro handicap). Install a simple boost controller and an exhaust and now you've got something.

Yes, I am talking about the Scandalous Corvette. :)

And they DID get found out when they came down south. That was the first time I'd ever met the guys from Scandalous, and they asked me to find them a race for a "stock" Vette. I knew something was up from the beginning, so I brought them a "stock" Viper to play with, complete with Sean Roe supercharger :devil: We met up at a gas station in the middle of nowhere, and spent about 45 minutes arguing about terms of the race, hoods shut. We finally agreed to give them two cars and the hit with the Viper, when they suddenly had a "technical issue" with the Vette. It seems that since they left it running the entire time we were talking, the nitrous bottle that was hidden under the hood (which of course they swore wasn't there) got so hot that the pressure relief valve let go, causing the bottle to empty in spectacular fashion. :eek:

Everyone from both sides just kind of stood there and stared in disbelief at the Vette as clouds of nitrous billowed out from under the hood. I finally asked Pete (the guy from Scandalous) if he wanted to go "see what was wrong with his radiator" ;) He laughed and opened the hood, and we saw the black painted Nitrous bottle that was well hidden, right next to the radiator. They sheepishly replaced the pressure relief disc, refilled the bottle, and we ran the race anyway. Then the Scandalous guys took us down to South Beach to party, and that is how I got involved with the Scandalous crew. :)

The Vette got destroyed, btw ;)
