Jeremy is out of town racing this weekend, so his wife calls me up and I head to her house.....
o wait wrong part of story........
So I am heading home and come up to red light. Now keep in mind the Rat aka Texas Rat Bastard is a sy rescued last year in texas and has lead a life of minimal maintenance. Although a very solid truck it is nothing special. In fact it currently is running GM stock chip, 2 bar, stock metal IC lines, stock air box, well you get the picture.
I also have the boost turned down via the WG actuator. I use the truck as a daily driver and really don't need boost urges with it (I have 3 other trucks in driveway for that). Being it is the daily and gets the most miles, I have been cheap and putting 87 octane in, and just staying out of boost. Runs fine if you stay out of boost and be careful.
So back to the red light.
In the right is a cavalier, teal green, chevy sticker on the side window and an exhaust tip he stole from his honda buddy. The kind that sounds like you just pissed on a beehive.
Light turns green I get on it some ~50percent throttle (remember 87 octane), no boost launch nothing and put o 4-5 car lengths on him and start adding more. It is obvious to him he doesn't have a chance from a light so he pulls up next to me and it becomes obvious he wants to go from a roll.
~50mph roll, i let him jump first same thing start adding up car lengths (o yea still 50% throttle)
So then we slow down to ~30mph, I give him 1 car length and wait for him to take off first. Obviously since he had jump and 1 car it took me a few seconds to catch up, but same story i start adding car lengths again.
Kid was actually pretty cool, I am sure he just wanted to see how his car was -vs- a syclone. Was starting to feel bad if he had stopped and wanted to talk what I would tell him or if I would even tell him about 50% throttle and 87 octane or just let him think he "almost" beat a syclone.
