The Notorius 60-77mph driveline vibration....

Wouldn't you know it... I fix one thing ... and then another pops up in it's place.... Fixed the front differential about 2-3 weeks ago... replaced the ignition 2 days ago...hadn't taken the truck up to highway speeds until today... ... right at about 65mph in OD the truck starts to shake hard.... anything higher than that and the same occurs... I'm betting it's got to be the frot propshaft... All bushings were replaced one year ago with polyrethane... new ball joints & shocks as well... Front yoke to the differential was replaced...

Felt like the vibration was originating below and to the front of me.... The boot is torn on the prophaft & looks to be the original unit... I'm thinking for the amount of times I bottomed out that it must have thrown the thing out of balance.... diagnosis to come...

One last thing.... options... there's AL Dustan's Dynotech upgrade propshaft... Dynotech regular prop.. Brandon's front prop.... Any other's?
oppinions on any of those listed or others you have had success with??
Thanks

I put on the Dynotech modified Bravada shaft about 10k miles ago. It has the newer style front cv joint and a much heavier duty double cardan. You do have to trim the shift linkage down so it doesn't rub though. Looks to be much stronger and I have no vibration even at 125mph :D

Also I think dynotech will rebuild your original for a decent price.

After all the crap this truck's been driven through.. it's time for a new shaft if it's the culprit... Also shipping it down is out of the question.. would cost over $30 each direction... I'm betting it's the problem... hopefully tomorrow I'll find out for sure... Another question... forgot to ask... with all the incliment weather Alaska spits out how will those exposed joints hold up?? Not sure about the Newer style Dynotech unit because I haven't seen a pic.. ,but what about brandon's?... seen below..

I just had my propshaft rebuilt and i had major vibration around 80, i took it and rotated it one spot from where it was, and the vibration was gone, might wanna try that befor you start spending money

I made one like this in the photo and works great
The angle from the transfer case to the front diff is not that big so i use a cardan joint... :D
The dynotech is a beauty allthough
