So I thought i'd reflect a little for this here 10,000th post.
11.15.2001 - purchased 92 Typhoon #2320
01.05.2002 - blew up tranny 4,000miles later
02.01.2002 - retired from driving
08.01.2002 - remove broken tranny
09.20.2002 - remove decently running stock engine
10.14.2002 - disassemble decently running stock engine
...---purchase motor parts for no good reason---...
12.10.2002 - begin engine assembly
...---waste a lot of time doing other crap---...
07.21.2003 - finish engine assembly / install engine
08.26.2003 - fire up engine

(if you've never watched this before....get ready to laugh at me)
09.06.2003 - Rocker nut comes loose after 8 miles. Tow back to build site
09.14.2003 - Fix Rocker nut. Tranny Pump explodes after 60 miles
10.04.2003 - remove broken tranny
12.13.2003 - reinstsall fixed tranny
12.21.2003 - Successfully drive Typhoon home 100 miles
...---waste a lot of time doing other crap---...
04.09.2005 - drive Typhoon 4 miles, oil pan gasket blows out
...---waste a lot of time doing other crap---...
09.13.2006 - win 4l80e at NATS
09.24.2006 - remove motor and 700r4
10.04.2006 - fix blown out oil pan gasket
...---waste a lot of time doing other crap, fast forward to now---...
Since 10.04.2006 i've purchased all the stuff i need for the 4l80e conversion...sold my turbo, changed my mind on the direction of my build numerous times, purchased front coilovers, built a front mount intercooler, bought a aluminum radiator support, started fabbing an upper intake to work with my intercooler, started a company to fab parts and lots of equipment to do so, and plenty of other crap too.

People always wonder why i never work on the truck. I lose motivation on it, and get sidetracked by other things.....like buying other "Typhoons" and parting them out,
or buying Typhoon Shells and parting them out,
http://www.michaelrenz.com/ShellUnload.wmv
or buying 5 speed typhoons and making it automatic again and then deciding to learn to do bodywork and prep it for paint to just get sick of it, and then get sick of wrenching in general.

The way i see it, most every single one of my 10,000 posts has been since i blew up the truck...since i was a noob/lurker back then and knew absolutely nothing about syty's. Lets assume I've spent 1 minute on every post on average....and for every post i've made, most likely have easily spent 5minutes reading posts/threads. Thats 60,000minutes, or 1000hrs, or ~41.66days....rougly 6 weeks, and i can assure you i've spent way more than 5mins reading for every post i've made.
Imagine if i would have put those 6 solid weeks into actually working on my truck. You may not all know me very well had i done that....but at least i'd prolly have a running/ driving truck. I wonder which route was the RIGHT choice to make? I mean...we all know which route i chose.
So there is my rant for my 10,000 post. Hope you've enjoyed the life saga of Typhoon #2320. I assure you there are plenty of epic points in time for the truck that i've left out like the infamous Turbo Badge,
the fake motor shrapnel,
and other things that escape me right now. I can also gaurantee that there will be plenty more stories in the weeks/months/years to come, to fully round out the life of Typhoon #2320.
