my seat belts buckle (on the belt side) changed between my 92 blazer & 94 bravada. i believe ty's changed also. anyone verify or discredit this?

I don't know if they are original or not, but I have seen photos of two 93s with the old style rack. I find it hard to believe people would go to the trouble to switch from one OEM rack to another.

The low mile red 93 @ Mecum has the older style.

TJ said he is gonna clean it up anyways.....but in the meantime, good info could come out because it was sparked by some of this discusion. I'm just trying to get rid of some of these rumors also. Prove or dis-prove. Thats my view and :2cents:

My 1993 map lights do illuminate with door opening or rke.
All trucks I've seen, 92's square rack, 93's rounded rack.
Red or black letters on grill on '92's seem random, I can only verify from factory on black trucks.

Ever since that thread Adam and I have been paying attention to the heads on all of the trucks we've pulled apart and worked on. Somewhere before #1100 there was a running change. It's held true for what we've seen since. We may be able to pin it down by when the prom change from BBZA to BBZB occured on the 1993 production run.

We may not have paper work from GM but that would be great to prove head and/or chip info.

Shit. All these years I thought it was the significantly larger intake ports that can only be well-seen with the intake valves removed. And even then it helps to have one of each side by side to make a comparison.

There are casting number differences. i still have not seen ONE SHRED of evidence that these larger-port heads were ever used on a production 93 Typhoon. It sure as hell can't be determined by looking for that external threaded hole.

My guess is that that machining change was made to accommodate ALL V6 cyl heads for the 93 year. Some 93 apps required the extra hole, some didn't. But ALL heads got it after a certain date.

And where did the "last 150-200 because of production shortages" explanation go? Gary's link discusses VINS as early as 1,1xx

Like I said, alot of those guys were looking for that. I am with you dave, I want to see proof to back up these things, all these things that are in question.....

If the trucks didn't have seats from Shreveport and Pontiac West how the hell did the drive them on/off trailers?

& on the subject of roof racks. Referring to the "Trucking USA" typhoon build video; did anyone notice the absence of roof racks at Pontiac West and when they roll out of PAS?

Didn't someone post up a window sticker or dealer paperwork showing that the roof rack and rear spoiler were dealer installed options or is this another undocumented rumor??

roof racks, tonneau ,covers and floor mats were installed at the dealers for ease of shippment

This thread is about KNOWN differences between '92 and '93 Typhoons. If you know of a difference, post it, and hopefully we can verify that it's a stock difference. If it's questionable, post it as that, a question.


Ask for people to verify.

:stupid: The extra bung hole has been disproven as way to identify L35 heads.

Has anyone actually had the intake off the motor and seen the humped heads and full port divider? In that thread it only seems like Blake was the only one that actually verified he had L35 heads, he bought his Ty used with 110K miles according the information in that thread. Someone else post Marine L35 heads. Anyone have any better information?
