It was so old the plug broke down to the bolt...Any way what could have happened i mean it was running perfect then went on a drive and it went to shit...I put the ur6ix ngk's in it...

One or more sparkplug wires came off the plugs? Check so all wires are still on tight.

well i checked the wires and they are all still connected & pulled #1 to make sure weren't fouled...I was extra careful installing the plugs because of the breakage and can't afford to wait 1 1/2 weeks for 1 more plug anyway it ran great while sitting there right after the install then the driving was something else...I just took it for another short spin and now a wot it is jumping rpms instead of staying bogged down the hole time. Oh and at start up if you rev it it spits out black smut and some black liquid out tail pipe...My shit is screwed I really could use the help I have had nothing but problems from my Ty since the day I bought it and have spent $4k on it since july and still need a new t-case i just want it to run right why can't that happen for me?

Oh and one other thing while in park and just sitting there running it runs perfect sounds good doesn't seem to be jumping around alot like the old plugs did just smoothe. Any ideas would greatly be appriciated!

You are 110% sure you got the firing order right, sometimes when you get 2 wires mixed ir runs great on idle but really rough and kind of miss fire on higher idle?

If it's runnin' fine at idle (in park), then it's probably not the plugs. I would even rule out a messed up firing order. Cause the truck would miss at idle if the firing order was incorrect. It would spit, almost backfire. When you're running 'round with the truck it's missing. Correct? It could very well be your spark plug wires. The motor is under strain when the truck is gear. You definitely needed to change the plugs anyway... considerin' they were all mismatched. But, I would check into a new set of wires. Even if the wires look new. Doesn't necessarily mean that they can't be broken down internally. Unless you've already changed the wires. Perhaps, one tore while you were replacin' the plugs. This happens with SyTy's.

good advice here, make sure all your wires are off your downpipe, also, make your all the plugs are tight, if they arnt, your going to loose compression in a cylinder and cuase a miss, make sure that #3 is in tight it can be a bitch

I would guess you have a plug wire on the down pipe. The ur6ix you aren't supposed to gap - if I remember correctly.

I had the same problem, tried everything. It ended up being a clog injector. DoNot use the stuff u pour.I did and it seemed to have fixed it untiltwo weeks later when it started blowing the pcv valve out.It unclogged it enough to run, but it was lean enough to burn a hole the #5 piston. Actually I would try the in-tank cleaner first, then if it helps spend the extra$ and get the cleaner that goes in at FR. I won't swear to anything about a sy/ty though.Good luck

This seems to be a fairly easy to solve problem.

Truck is running ok on old crappy plugs, you change plugs, now it runs like crap.

Problem lies in the plugs or the wires. You swapped new plugs in, and you moved the wires to install. Swap cheapy plugs in to see if you can find a bad plug, move wires around, or replace them to see if you can find a bad wire.

Well I am going to change the wires tonight with some autozone crap and get black beauties later I figure if it is the wires then it will be fixed and if not the I can keep from wasteing alot of money! If not the wires then the cap and rotor next sat. Something else after calming down and chilling out on my drive to work this morning and takeing it real easy I noticed that it seems to run great except at WOT so I am thinking that the wires did go bad but not all the way and at WOT it is not getting full spark but yet the spark is jumping and that would cause the truck to go from bogged down to hell yes to oh shit again...Just my thoughts oh and tripled checked to make sure wires are not touching d.p. or header or head or anything and did double check #3 to make sure it was done right...Oh the vacume hose thing on the plug worked like a charm on the #3 didn't have to use it on any ofthe other ones thought...It's a shame how easy the plugs were i did pass. side in 10 minutes and driver in 90 min. spent an hour on #3 trying to be careful and shit. I cannot thank everybody enough for your help and really appreciate it...If it was not for this board I prolly would have sold it by know but the great tech support and moral support is great...Once Again thanks to every one...
