my dash temp gauge only moves up a little when its warm is it the gauge or the sensor and WHICH sensor ? there are two temp sensors ?

what thermostat do you have a 160 will make the guage barely move

im running a 180 thermostat it barely moves about a 1/16 of a inch from the bottom

I remember having this problem a year about this time. Mine only and I mean if I'm lucky gets to the 1/4 mark. For safe measure I replaced my radiator cap with a Mr. something radiator cap that has a thermostat in it. Both seem to be fine.
But if I were you just to make sure, I'd go buy a cheap mechanical water temp gauge (sunpro $10-$20) and run it to your temp sending unit and let your truck get up to temp just to verify.
