Teaser alert.....

Truckless. For now.
Re: Teaser alert.....

After some measuring & a desire to keep the motor intact (original), I decided that this will need to be transplanted into a vehicle other than the Syclone.

I'm looking for suggestions. I don't have the funding yet, but I'd like some ideas on what I should start looking for.
It has to be pre-1975 so I can comply with the SMOG Nazi's here in Cali. Have a relatively wide engine bay to accomodate the headers (I forget what width was). And, I would prefer a 2dr, but that's not a must.
Maybe a '60's 6 cyl. Camaro, Nova or Chevelle? Or...a Chevy C10 maybe?

Be unique. 1971 Pontiac Grand Prix. They stuffed big motors into them. I'm sure yours would fit.

Re: Teaser alert.....

I liked the C10 idea actually. That might be fun.

those are nice, but i know from personal experience how heavy those things are and get NO traction. i have had 3, 67', 72',and a 72'. with the torque that thing should put out it will only win every burnout contest available

Yes, I have 2 of them but both with stock 6. If you put an aftermarket suspenion under the front the engine bay would be wide open.

Re: Teaser alert.....

62-65 is the body style I posted. Small differences, I personally don't like 65's (different taillights and headlight rings that look unfinished IMO)

66-67 is the same bones, but has a slightly different shaped body. Same size otherwise few changes here and there.

I am an early 62-64 guy, our 62 is a convert, my 63 hardtop. Dad is building another 63. Stock front suspension is not much and surely not something that handles well. But the whole front clip unbolts at firewall, aftermarkets bolt on complete. Unibody construction 1 day you can have a whole new suspension under the front.

Fairly cheap cars to build, almost all the parts are available now.

C3 corvette convertible.. late 70s can be had pretty cheap.. rwd.. fiberglass (light weight) fun to drive.. flashy so to speak..

Technically, itcouldn't be a late 70's C3, because the last C3 convertible was 75. I say screw the C3, they are PIA. Most of them need body off brake, fuel, frame repairs as well as expensive suspension repair.
