TC bad after 18months?

I have my TC replaced about 18 months ago. The hard vibration I got at low loads went away for about a year. It started up again about 6 months ago. Has my TC gone bad again? Was it bad in the first place and the new one just covered up another problem? When I told the guy who installed it that I was having the problem he said it sounded like my transmission was going bad.

I had my tranny race-built and a new converter installed. The converter lasted about a year before it went bad. That's what I get for using cheap-o Dacco converters...

What make/stall/size/type of converter is it?

It's a B&M. I need to check the stall, but I think it was 2500. I asked for an "upgrade" when I got done finguring that the part incremental and performance return was worth it. Now I'm out $1000+ and it looks like I need another.
The converter appears to be engagin and disengaging as checked via the 55mph, break test.

Any ideas?
