Ok, this has been covered before and there were a number of members interested. I contacted a place that will handle the order and sent them a sample image. They are going to overnight me a chip so I can have it available to show everyone at NATS. Awesome guy to deal with so far.
My question is...
Is ther still some interest in a custom set of poker chips displaying our trucks? I believe phoonTY ahs done some awesoe background designs. Maybe he can add to what I have started for a top quality poker chip.
About the chips....
hese are NOT stickers stuck onto some plastic lightweight chip. Very high quality ABS composite, official weight and size with tough coating over the image to prevent it from getting damaged. I have a set of these chips already (not syty) and I assure you that they are first class and will last a very long time.
Here is a quote from them...
Pricing....
This will vary depending on interest. Minimum order is 300 chips but obviously the price goes down and quantity goes up. I did the numbers for 20 sets of 60 chips (20ea of three designs) and we're looking at about $40 + shipping. Considering the quality and the fact that they are OUR CUSTOM DESIGN in short run, that is not too bad. I know you can get chips on Ebay for as little as $.15 each on lots of 500 but they are made by the hundreds of thousands. We's never get that sort of pricing.
Anyway, if all goes well I will have a sample available to look at in my pocket during NATS. If we can get enough sets paid for I can move forward with this and maybe we'll have them for Xmas.
Here is a quick sample set I did... once a background is added I think we'll have a killer set. If you have an idea for a $100 chip design feel free to post it.

The word sticker implies cheap and this is where you have to be careful what you're buying. Many custom chip makers print on offfice depot paper labels with a thin lamination. This type of printing will not last. We print on an industrial strength adhesive backed vinyl that is cut to the exact diameter of the chip center you choose.
It's then laminated with an 8mm polycarbonate layer, the hardest and most expensive lamination available. The lamination is the key to the durability of the print area, and we use only the best. The final step is when it's set into the poker chip, flush to the surface of the chip. You will not be able to remove this and it is impermeable to water, alcohol, or any of the common liquids that spill on poker chip. The image will last a lifetime and will never come off.
