So I'm 125 miles away from home and about 1 mile from my destination - supersports10's wrench session and my Ty dies. Crap! I call up Clint and he is there in minutes with some tools and diagnostic equipment. I few minutes later he got her running again with a jumper wire. We get back to his place and in another few minutes we found the problem to be just a ECM-B fuse. Not the fuel pump, GREAT! I'll carry extra fuses from now on. So the midwest wrench session turned into the Ty tuneup. I wanted to say thanks to Clint and the two Ryan's that helped me get through my first breakdown and tuneup. The truck is running really well after we replaced the ORIGINAL wires. Next up is the IC line replacement.

Glad to hear it went well. I totally apologize for bailing at the last minute. It was good I stayed home as it was the weekend from hell.

We'll be doing another one some time soon. I'd like to have on before the Nats for those who are going.

Yeah, that damn ECM-B fuse got me once too. Unfortunately, I also had it towed. I was too new and didn't know the typical things to check.

But yes, the SyTy crowd is typically a great bunch of people.:tup:

I would have to agree 100% glad to hear you got it running so fast. Had a very good experience with Syclone 697 (Jeremy) and smaug (Eric)...because of them I am the new owner of 92 Ty #1680 Reg/grey. Still waiting for it to get here, being transported form TX to NJ....hopefully it will be home this week....Jeremy I did tell eric about your cladding...he said he is bigger than you ...bring it on! j/k Now I gotta make a donation to syty.net...awesome board!

Yep - I agree. I was a bit disappointed in myself for kinda getting it up and going and then not being able to make it.

We can work on your truck. I'm hoping to be done with mine this coming up weekend so I can start driving the damn thing. I'm free the next few Saturdays so we can work something out. I have to get up to Clint's to do my LS1 fronts - so one of those Saturdays are out.

The people are cool as hell too. Ive been to a few other forums where it seems like youre always fighting for your life and having to watch your back so to speak.

Did you find out what cause it to blow? Did your IC pump go bad? I agree SyTy people are the Best Breed Around.

I did not find out what caused it. I have had it on the road since the tune up and no problems. I did purchase some more fuses JIC. I should have paid more attention to where Clint hooked up the jumper wire to get me going again. Well, at least I know what fuse to check.

glad i could help man!!! it was fun, but next time, we need like 8-10 trucks, all at the same time. and yes were gonna do it agian before nats!!!!:tup:
