Syty aluminium driveshafts

Re: Syty aluminium driveshafts

I had to order the yoke for the front diff to change it from the stock piece since there are no driveline parts made with that size. The new design will be similar to Gilbert with the srap kit to hold in the front joint. This has changed the pricing a liitle on the prop shaft from my original est. As soon as it arrives I will have final pricing and pictures will be up. Thanks for your patience guys. This is something I'm doing during my down time at work.

Ok got the yoke today and big suprise its wrong. I ordered it for the front diff witch i found the pinion shaft to be 27 tooth 1.315 od in my motive book. I may have to pull my propshaft and stock yoke to pull some measurments.

Thanks,
Adam

Re: Syty aluminium driveshafts

I've been insane busy at work this week. worked late mon, tues, and weds. I'm trying to source enough parts for a few shafts. the aluminum parts seem very hard to come buy at the moment. Dana showed "0" yokes at their warehouses. Tomorrow i should have a breather and an update.

Well sourcing the aluminum parts looks like its going to be difficult. I have 3 suppliers to pull from and not a single one has stock on aluminum parts right now. I have left them all messages to call as soon as some stock hits the selfs.

I have 300lbs of aluminum cans. Can I melt it down and send you the blocks? .....:rotf:

In all seriousness, I am interested in front and rear. Any updates?

Great looking workmanship - do you do any other custom driveshaft work? I'm "into" Mercedes Benz diesels, and the MB diesel guys frequently are in need of custom work for re-powers and oddball engine swaps.

Yes I do all sorts of custom work. Build shafts for imports with swaped transmissions, to f350's on 2 1/2 ton military running grear.

Re: Syty aluminium driveshafts

I have a few old shafts that where pull outs from trucks running stock aluminium shafts i.e: newer chevy and dodges. If your interested i could build you one out of those. for a much cheaper price. I can see what i have left on the shelf tomorrow.
