I used to have one of those! That thing was pretty fast. I think it was powered by 8-10 AA batteries.

Now the auction has surpassed the Grand National that sold for $130. I noticed that the person bidding on the syclone xmod is also bidding on another auction for a syclone model. Anyone on here? viper1cars? I think when a toy gets to be more than a really nice part for my truck then I have to pass. I can think of one really nice autometer gauge I could buy instead of a r/c car. :)

Seller responded with this after I asked about how it was built:

hello i asked him,he said its the only one he knows of because he built it.and its also numbered 001 on the bottom.he never seen any other rc syclone out there,and depending on how well this one sells he would build a few more.he said thanks for your interest in the truck,but theres to many steps to explain how to build it.

BS! He just doesn't want to share because then there might be another one on ebay that will compete with his one for $130+

What brand/scale is it. I've been looking for one, but haven't found anything suitable.

I'm 99.9% sure it's just the Revell SY model adapted to fit the RC car justlike I did. The light kit is simply LED's on a battery. I'm going to take a look at Radio Shack this weekend and see if I can figure something out. I'll post my findings and maybe even build a few. Heck, I could probably make two of them for $100.

So.... Who is SY1175? They paid $154.01 plus $13 S&H. Anyone on here?

I noticed that the seller of that XMOD also purchased a revell kit off ebay. They probably will build another since he obviously made a killing on his original.
