Well...if you know you cant win... lock em up and push him off the track into the barriers and smash some cladding. Watch really close and you can see pieces of cladding flying in the air.

I know an Talon owner that would have gotten his ass beat after the race if that was me

Wow... that wasnt pretty.

I would never race a Sy or Ty in some racing where you have complete retards racing vs. you :2cents: although that did look like me on the Muskogee Turnpike last week :rotf:

Agreed. I woulda so introduced talon boy to a size 13 steel toe and REALLY gave the spectators something to watch.

Announcer: "Can we get the emergency ppl rolling cause the guy in the truck just inserted a talon into its former drivers rear end"

How you feel about the race, and racing on a track with a couple of boneheads aside.....

...it is cool to see a 13 year old pickup win.

Anytime you take any car onto the track with other vehicles you accept the responsibility of the damage. (Same goes with drag racing boys and girls).

Sure you may find someone that damaged your ride willing to pay to repair it but I'd be willing to bet they are far and few between..

The only way to make sure you dont receive damage from another competitor is to NOT COMPETE.

Sure it sucks having been pushed into the barrier, but I doubt there are 'real' qualifications required in order to race, so that means, you race with Billy Redneck or who ever and you run the risk of him doing this exact same thing. Fender to fender racing oughta be left to the professionals IMO. They have the training to NOT lock up the tires and run over everything in sight (well except for the Robby Gordons of the world) but the big boys have the budget to repair/replace their own damage.

off topic to this post,

KUDO's to the doode driving the Sy, for having the cajones to step up and run it hard ! And to walk away with the WIN nonetheless !! He showed he can handle a high performance vehicle (unlike his competitor).

Is he on the forum ??? Anyone know who he is ?? I'd like more details about that racing ! That was neat to see !

The only way I would run at the drag strip is solo......most of the 9-10 second SyTy's run solo because you can get out of control pretty easy.... I think Ed Hess will probably run solo after the close call with the broken axle.

A few years ago I raced CBR 600's with WERA and I quickly learned NOT to be on the outside line while entering a turn with squids on the track because when they lowside, you're a gonna no matter how good of a racer you are; the effects of inertia. I'd of liked to see the syclone driver "push" him into underbracking for the curve and laughed as the competitor slid off the track. That dude was in way too deep trying to catch up to the sy. Most rookies don't know when to brake and go in too deep too fast and then whoopsie...there gone and the real novices will do anything to stay out in front!! Nice video clip none the less and kudo's to the guy racing the syclone for keeping his cool!!

Yeah, I know all that but Id still have a few choice words for talon boy before it was over. If anything maybe itd wise him up to work on his driving skills.

I dunno man....Either that truck was bone stock or the driver really wasnt beating on it hard at all IMO. The talon shoulda never even been close enough to get into him after ~60ft if sy would actually launched it right.

Sigh....I guess I am gonna have to give into the urge Ive been fighting off for years to take my truck to the local paved roundy round track for their "any car" race to see for myself. Ugh, I can only immagine how much Ill spend buying up replacement cladding.

They had the first road race thingy here with cones set up in the mall parking lot. They wouldnt let me race..sigh...something about the dually being too long to negotiate the track without knocking down cones even at low speed. Hey, the sy was broke and Mrs myclones 4runner woulda rolled on its roof so I hadda do something. Maybe next time :( .
