A while back in the Lightning forum's War Zone, someone called our vehicles go karts. Someone else asked about the relative sizes of the two vehicles. While many/most have seen a Gen 2, I posted some pics of my L and Sy side by side for comparison if anyone is interested.

Nice pics, but where's the Ty?

Nice pics Dean and NICE trucks, BOTH of them.

Its been my experience that on EVERY board like ours and others (NLOC Included) that people tend to WORSHIP what they own. Therefore such comments like that "go kart" one are to be expected. Hey if they wanna refer to it as a go kart let 'em... If the wanna worship their truck LET 'EM I say.. Ignorance is bliss... Numbers DONT LIE and a STOCK truck VS a STOCK truck theres NO question who's gonna pull away... So if they wanna see nothing but tailgate from a Go-Kart (or however they choose to demean it) let-em.. IMHO just remind them that it took FORD over 10years to get something to compete with OUR trucks, the Gen 1 Lightnings in STOCK trim are NO match, and even the EARLY GEN2 trucks are slow(er). Sure a couple of bolt ons can change that, but then thats not a STOCK truck is it ?

Let 'em have at it, we have people here on this board that are as equally arrogant about their trucks.. Some of it is over-extended PRIDE in their truck.... Some of it is truly BS. Heck if we all had Fbodys and they had Mustangs the argument would be slightly differnt but at the same time, amazingly similar...

Meh its all good. I toy with selling the Gen 2 every other day to go buy a TTA. Then I remember what I have gotten myself into rebuilding the Syclone and that the Typhoon is probably gonna need some work too. Then I realize how nice it is to have something new and reliable under warranty. The L is my Summer evening cruiser. It just happens to be a stinking fast cruiser.

Oh and Rich, I had to think about it but I believe the Ty was already out where the Lightning was being taken. Now the Sy and Ty reside in my garage and the L is out at the shop. Man the black Ty and the Sy look cool together. Still walk out there and just gawk in amazement sometimes.

Tooky

Serious about performance
Seems like the NLOC has disappeared? Hopefully it's just a temporary website problem.

They are having hosting problems. ITs supposed to back up any day now. Personally, I think the new SRT-10 scared the $hit outta all of them and they packed up and got the Hell outta Dodge (pun intended).
