Syclone Detail

So little background on the truck it has 33k miles on it. I've owned it for 15 years and it's never been washed. It's never been washed bc it's never seen rain and any bad weather. Usually goes to car shows when it's running and then comes back and put back under the cover. It get waxed and clay barred all the time and to most looks great. But seeing how are trucks are black they get the littlest swirl and u can see it forever and it bothered me. So I had a friend here in nj that's is a professional come out and do the truck. He was amazed how good the factory paint was as this is orginal 24yr old paint. The detail spent about 10hrs on it trying to get it perfect and man what a job he did. I'll let the pics speak for themselves

Factory cladding not painted just black chrome I have like 10 bottles of it but he used his own stuff also

Looks great. I did my Ty last spring. It had to sit outside for a year while we moved and unpacked. I thought the Arizona sun killed the paint. I used a machine polisher and used 2 different stages of polish and it came back. Amazing what you can do with the right stuff

Used a porter cable polisher with some pads. Used 2 stages of Griots Garage polish compound and 1 coat of Meguiars wax. Took about 7 hours to do do the whole truck. http://www.griotsgarage.com/category/car+care/car+polishing/car+polishes.do

Outstanding job!

Griots makes some primo stuff, that's for sure.
I'm going to see if I can dig up the cladding treatment that guy used.

Stab it and steer it
Re: Syclone Detail

I have Griots little random orbit polisher plus their stuff. Works well.

I like them wheels BTW.

I also know a pro who takes care of the owners cars next door. Meaning other side of the wall. The door to which I don't have a key. But can go in if I just ask. He's shown me few tricks. There is about 8 cars over there and they are rarely driven. I talked to him about that and he says most of his clients are that way. Rarely drive their cars. I like that we, mostly, drive ours.

Beautiful truck, thanks for posting.
