Syclone body swap help

Hopefully the bashings wint be too bad, ive been searching around the site but having trouble getting info. I have a 91 syclone chassis, motor and driveline. All but a body, long story. Im looking to put a 2002 body on it, I,m wiring the motor to run on its own with no body, I will wire a separate harness for the new body or is there an easier way, not sure how to aproach this animal. Any help would bw great thNx

No bashing, just curious....why a Gen2 instead of a Gen1 body?? If you want a SyTy power plant/drivetrain in a Gen2, why not just drop one in??

sounds cool if you try to make a modern 2002 version of the syclone...kinda like a "what if" they made a 2002 Syclone..simlilar colors and interior

I got a lead on a s10 exreme truck on the way cheap, and its very hard to find a rust free stock gen 1 body were I live. I had the truck running, but need a body on it so im doing whats available

I guess what im looking for is to be sure that the original frame and driveline perform as they should regaudless of the body.

I have always wondered if any one had taken a Extreme Blazer and did a SY/TY swap. I thought that would be pretty cool.

If you have the drive train and the body harness stand alone it should not be to bad to swap the body, good luck and post up pics I would love to see how it goes. I have done 2 swaps so far but backwards from yours ( old bodys on newer drive trains)

As long as it is not an extended cab it should fit. The bumper supports are not the same from gen to gen. Use the 411 PCM to control the engine and all your gauges will work in the newer 2002 body.

Been there done that. :tup:
