Please tell me someone is checking this out. (You can PM me if you wanna keep it on the down low...I understand.)

If anyone is interested, let me know. This is a friend of mine that is a full time mechanic. He bought it years ago and bought tons of oem parts to replace rusted metal. I guess he finally gave up on it. He always loved mine since 91.

Poor truck. It is going to take quite a bit of work to get that truck back in shape.

Didn't realize there were so many (or even two...lol) in the Lehigh Valley! What's the story with yours? (number, mileage, etc).

You guys gotta come out for our NASTE meets. (one in Williamsport in October, NJ sometime later in the fall, hopefully).

Re: Syclone 762 - in boxes

I purchased my Syclone back in 91 from Brown Daub GMC in Easton PA. There where two on the lot. I drove mine over to a guy I worked with and let him drive it, the next day he went and bought the other. Mine has been sitting in my Garage for 16 years. Think I have 46,000 miles on it. Has all ATR goodies on it. The larger upper cooler, airbox, battery relocation, double pumper, 40lb injectors and Pitbull chip and 3 inch exhaust.. LOL all old school. I want to get it back on the road soon, doing the Vortec heads, cam, injectors, big turbo and high stall.
Oh yeah as far as Syclones in Lehigh Valley my wifes uncle has a pristine upper 40k one too. My brother inlaw also had a typhoon... so they are around..most in storage. I been on this forum since the beginning. Just never posted. LOL

Awesome!

Well, welcome "back" to the forum. Hope you get it on the road and meet up with the group at some point.

Reminds me of how I bought my truck, in boxes.

Also really like the story. I find the original owner story's very intriguing. Most the ones I know of all have the same " per era" mods. ATR this.. ATR that.

I am about 45 min from Allentown. Maybe a hour.

I know a couple owners same thing trucks been parked for the last decade or more. I am getting there at half a decade. :rotf:

So, did anyone buy it? The listing was removed by the seller. I said I would drag this home if it was still there in two weeks. I would rather build a garage than have another project, so thanks to whoever bought it.

Re: Syclone 762 - in boxes

Bought my Sy in Pa. The engine and trans. had been removed to rebuild. The owner just never had the time to do the work. It has zero rust body. Pretty nice.

It took me about a year to get all the parts and get it like I wanted it. I even pulled the body off the frame. Removed all the surface rust from the frame and painted it black. Now it have zero rust anywhere.

Now that its all fixed up it is sitting collecting dust. Just like my other two.

Re: Syclone 762 - in boxes

I drove by my friend Dave's house the other day and his Syclone was still in the Driveway. Stopped and talked to him and he told me he just couldn't sell it. He has too many new parts and decided to just keep it and put it together at a later time. If he ever changes his mind, I will give the user's who set me messages about it a heads up.
