Sy Vs WS6????

Hey guys I wanted to ask you guys who would take the win a stock Sy or a stock 2002 WS6 Trans-Am? Just in the 1/4 mile. Thanks

imho the ta would win in the 1/4, in the 1/8 the sy would win. add cai, exhaust and 2 psi more then the sy would reign.

If the trans am has tires it will most likely win in the quarter mile, i have seen 2002 tas and ss run 12.80 with just a kn. That 325hp rating gm gives them is what most guys are getting at the wheels if not more!! I know of one that dynoed at 361rwhp with just a lid and kn (2002) ta. My good friend has a 2002 ta and he has put a cam, stall , 3.73 gears, headers, 4inch mufflex, torque arm, and a 150 wet kit and he runs 11.04 at 125 all the time, and he has gone 12.07 on motor only, we were at moroso friday night looking for a 10 sec passor 11.98 on motor. That car flys and has a dvd player , tv, custom stereo, 2 nitrous bottles, full leather interior.Back to the original question, i think it would have to be a good running sy to beat a 2002 ta or ss, then again i went 12.82 in my sy when i first got it but i had the boost at 21psi and race gas. :D

ugly??? if i had the money i would get one and a ty!! my dream cars are those! everyone going rice?? maybe in sincity but not here! v8's are the way to go, perhaps there a v8 is too much for the locals.

I say bring on the LS1 powered cars. hell I cant even get a race with em around here. the only one i have ever lost to was a supercharged TA. he would come by me at about 80. at the track they run 14's around here.

you must have some non driving mofos, at moroso they are running low 13s high 12s, stock. Hell even my 99ss went 13.01 stock with stock radials, now its a little faster :D South florida is home to some fast ls1s, believe it.

my friends dad has a brand new WS6, we both went to palmdale and ran the same times 14.01, and he had trouble hooking up.

the syty's are quick, but not invincible. a stock sy will beat up on 99% of the rice on the street, as well as rustangs and Z28s. but those WS6's are straight up fast! and so are the firehawks. i know, ive had my ass handed to me by both!

Yeah, I know from experience that a WS6 will take a Sy. A friend and I raced down here in FL. I had my brother and a friend in my WS6, the 3 of us totalling about 600 lbs, and it was pretty even until I started to get to the top of second and was slowly creeping away. I believe he also had a bad launch, at least that's what he said, heh heh. That was also with a little over 700 miles on the car, they say after about 4-5000 it will really open up, strange. With my Ty nearing the end of a parts list I can't wait to start ripping into the ls1. Best part is that you get a really warm and fuzzy with a car that runs mid 13's and still gets 30 mpg on the hwy.

There is a WS6 in my neighbor hood with no markings just all white. He has tried to race me "4" times now and each I hand him his ass. The first few times I ran him I got'em pretty good. I shut down around 80. Which, is the speed he would have started gaining on me. Plus I was only running 13.0s in street trim. I think the guy went home got the old summit and jegs catalog out and blew some cash. I didnt see him for almost 4 weeks. In this time I put on a pte52, 50's, full 3". So the guy finally found me last week. He was thinking Im kickin the shit out of that little truck now!!!! Well, HE TRIED, I handed him his ass and gave him change back.
(that was in the little SY)

NEXT:
Im putting a child seat in the Buick with a "baby on board" sign. With the sy I hurt him bad even with his girl in the car. NOW, that he is down Im going to kick him in the nuts and finish him off. Tell him to go buy a Honda.

Show no mercy to these sorry Mo Fo's guys go in for the mercy kill!!!

there is know doubt they are fast no doubt at all. after riding in the super charged one it was like the feeling you get when you launch a Sy or Ty but but it lasteed until about 120. one thing that helps us here is that altitude. hell even lightinings run like high 14's

ok...just went to Firebird Raceway (Phoenix) this past Friday night for the first time since moving out here and saw two LS1's. The first was running 13.3's and the other was in the 14.0 -14.1s range. I was impressed!

FYI...there were two Lightings runnin in the 13.3- 13.7 range also.
