Sy 27 spline T/C output questions.

Im wanting to go 4l80e and selling my 700r4 while it is still in good condition and worth a little bit of money. So im wanting to get in on the current GP for the 32 spline input shaft going on, and also would like to get the new tailshaft housing that is being made. When i do end up doing this, a full rebuild of the T/C would be in order as well. I want to future proof the trasfercase, its only going to get built one time i hope.

The cobra transmission website has most of the parts for a rebuild, at decent prices. But it does not list the output shaft itself (27 or 32) but does have the 32 spline tailshaft housing. But at what point is it overkill to try and get a 32 spline output shaft? And if the $1K+ 5 gear planatary is recomended as well, why dump money into a sy trasfercase if it cant be changed over when doing so.

1) So is it worth dumping money into a Sy transfer case at all? Or should i find a bw4472 at a junk yard?
2) Has anyone broke a 27 spline output or driveshaft because of this?
3) Can you swap a 32 spline output and tailshaft on to the bw1372?
4) And does anyone know where to get the 32 spline output shaft by itself?

Sorry if this has been talked about 1000 times over, i have been searching for a few days now.

the 27spline shaft is pretty resilient I know ed hess has broken one with his th400. but if your doing the 4l80e you might as well just put the ty case in but that case Is longer so you have to shorten you drive shaft

Also keep in mind you are splitting the power to that shaft. I'd rebuild the T-case in a heart beat, it's cheap, easy as hell and you know it will be done.

You have to shorten the drive shaft with the TY case also.

It would be way cheaper to keep the sy T/C and just install the new input shaft and a new VC and bearings. Then having to find a bw4472, 5 gear planetary, and then also have to shorten the drive shaft. That's like $400-500 vs $2k.

Im sure the sy case would be fine, and the cheaper choice. May just end up doing that.
