Sy 1357 Found in Shreveport

So we went into Shreveport today to do a few things and the first parking lot I pull into I find this:

As I as admiring the choice of add on emblems, stickers and chrome mirrors the owner came out and showed me the engine:

Yup, that is a Vtec Sticker on the IC..
The owner is the 3rd owner and bought it sometime in 97ish? He recently rebuilt the motor says he drives it most every day... He did give me directions to the building that used to make syclones so maybe once we move here for good I will try and get a few sytys together, go there, and take some pictures.

Add on emblems were a bit to much for me. To many, and not very professional looking. But jeez, Vtec... my god.

im not really feeling those center caps or chrome mirrors imho regualr s-10 mirrors look great if your looking to swap the stock blazer ones off......was the hood dirty or is the paint peeling

Paint is peeling and all the add on stickers and emblems were applied in a sort of "unprofessional" manner. It had something like 115,000 miles.

corvette badge (dont get me wrong i am a corvette lover)

But when you have somehting as badass as a SyTy the decals it has are the only ones it needs for the most part

No offer. The guy seemed to genuinely dig the truck and managed to keep it running this long. I didnt notice a dent nor rust. Underside looked damn good. He said he was having minor tranny shift issues but that it otherwise ran good. If he decides to sell it down the road the next owner will have only minor appearance issues to address, but since he rebuilt the motor himself I would have to pull it and do it over.

I wasnt loving the Chevy bowtie emblems or the Auto Zone chrome plastic door sill trim on the grill and cladding...

Wow, the red rings around the wheels are neat as well as the red fog light housings. Im going to do that to mine when I polka dot it.

Just a few more rolls of pinstripe tape and...:barf:....what am I saying, this guy needs his @** kicked for doing that. Hmm some 44inch Super Swamper tires are needed...after all it is all AWD.
